SCOPE OF THE WORK
- Construction of Concrete Intake and Weir Structure Forming, batching and pouring of reinforced concrete – 350 m3
- Supply and installation of misc. metals: platform grating, handrails, slide gates, Coanda screen, gate valves, etc.
- Drilling and grouting of 120 @ 3 m deep rock anchors
- Installation of 36” Steel Penstock – 2,231 m
- 383 m of overland penstock and 1,848 m of buried penstock
- 248 m of the overland penstock was completed using a 2 Madill 090
- Towers to create a “Skyline”
- 6 anchor blocks and 22 pedestals complete with steel saddles – 450 m3 of reinforced concrete
- 2 Pipe bridges – 1 @ 44 m span and 1 @ 33m span
- Fabrication of 50 welded steel miter bends
- Installation of 90 pipe joints: 90 Victaulic AGS couplings for grooved end pipe, 40 Fluidmaster 600 couplings with weld-on rings and 50 butt welded joints.
- Pipe grooving for Victaulic AGS couplings was completed onsite by Hazelwood forces
- 12,000 m3 of trench rock removal
- Onsite manufacturing (crushing and screening) of pipe bedding and road surfacing gravel
- Clearing and grubbing overland penstock sections
- Construction of Powerhouse Foundation and Substation Concrete
- Forming and pouring of reinforced concrete – 350 m3
- Supply and installation of misc. metals and substation fencing
- Construction of tailrace channel
- Rock excavation and structural backfill
- Drilling and grouting of 80@ 3m deep rock anchors
